Novel radio-photoluminescence materials and applications

چکیده
Radio-photoluminescence (RPL) is a phenomenon whereby new luminescent centre generated in material by the interaction of an ionizing radiation with medium. Despite usefulness RPL, e.g. measurements, there are only limited number RPL materials available today, which limits our understanding as well extending its use for applications. In recent investigations, large systems have been proposed measurements. particular, Sm-based one most intensively studied alternative systems, shows properties owing to intravalence reduction Sm ion (Sm3+ → Sm2+) induced radiation. The Sm2+, Sm3+, acts and photoluminescence, typically around 700 nm. This approach has enabled us explore wider range choices find application RPL. An example microbeam therapy (MRT), requires measurement extremely dose distributions at microscopic scale. Such class not but also those doped other rare earth ions (e.g., Eu Yb) undoped materials.

1 Photoluminescence : science and applications
In the past five years photoluminescence (PL) of SWNTs has gone from discovery to one of the most actively researched areas, with broad impact on the basic science of SWNTs, as well as the promise of applications. The simplest free-carrier models of perfect semiconducting SWNTs in vacuum predict that they have direct bandgaps and therefore should be efficient light absorbers and emitters. Exper...

Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) uses redox reactions to generate light at an electrode surface, and is gaining increasing attention for biosensor development due to its high sensitivity and excellent signal-to-noise ratio. ECL studies of monodisperse oligofluorene-truxenes (T4 series) have been reported previously, showing the production of stable radical cations and radical anions, generating b...

متن کاملA Novel Opportunistic Spectrum Access for Applications in Cognitive Radio
Today’s wireless networks are characterized by fixed spectrum assignment policy. The limited available spectrum and the inefficiency in the spectrum usage necessitate a new communication paradigm to exploit the existing wireless spectrum opportunistically. This new networking paradigm is referred to as Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) and cognitive radio networks. Cognitive radio is a paradigm for...
متن کاملNovel high-breakdown InGaAs/InAlAs pHEMTs for radio astronomy applications
By optimising the epitaxial layer profile of InGaAs-InAlAs pHEMTs we have demonstrated improved DC and RF performance from a new, low-cost, 1 μm-gate device structure in terms of breakdown voltage, leakage current and output conductance. A simple fabrication process is employed that does not use double-recess or composite-channel structures. No penalty was incurred on cut-off frequency or gain ...
